The Lost City

VR Project

Group project made by 6 students in 8 weeks, we had 2 weeks of pre-production and 6 weeks of production. This was our first project of the third year of University. The brief was to create a VR escape room and we decided to create an environment inspired by the Aztecs, Lovecraftian and Atlantis.

My roles were Techincal Artist and Level Design, I made the blockout, imported all the final assets in Unreal and did the set dressing. Also I worked with blueprints for the creation of the puzzles and interactive elements, implemented particle effects and added sound. I was responsible for optimising the scene to make it run in frame in VR.

Narrative: “Our adventurer set out to find the Aztec homeland, Aztlan but ended up getting trapped instead in an ancient hellscape. Solve the puzzles of the Lost Gods to escape.”

Group members: Gioia Varago, Bjarke Frid, Abigail Bevilacqua, Cameron Tempest-Hay
